According to U.S. Census Bureau data, the Black population represents 13.4% of the total U.S. population, yet the FDA reports that this group makes up only 5% of clinical trial participants. The disparity is even greater for those of Hispanic or Latino origin, who represent 18.1% of the U.S. population but only 1% of clinical trial participants. ZS conducted a quantitative study across three key conditions (breast cancer, IBD and respiratory conditions) to identify psychological factors affecting willingness to enroll in trials. In this webinar, we highlight previously unrecognized opportunities to improve representation in clinical trials.

During this on-demand webinar we explore:

  • How behavioral science can be a tool for encouraging enrollment in underrepresented groups
  • How doctor-patient relationships affect clinical trial enrollment
  • The role timing plays in the willingness to take part in clinical trials across different conditions
